The Mercury Lounge wants every guest to have a safe and unforgettable experience during their visit. To help make sure that everyone has a great time, they have outlined a set of guidelines and rules listed below. Please review and follow the rules and policies below as failure to abide by them may result in expulsion from the venue without refund.

Accessibility Policy

The Mercury Lounge is more than happy to abide by ADA guidelines. If you or your party require special accommodations, please contact the venue at [email protected] with any information about the special needs you require.

You may also contact the box office at 212-260-4700. Please call at least 2 weeks before a scheduled event to allow time for accommodation preparation.

Arrival Policy

For certain events, arriving late may result in guests being asked to wait in the lobby until a designated break period. To avoid frustration, The Mercury Lounge recommends that you arrive no later than 45 minutes before a ticketed event to make sure you have plenty of time to find parking and get to your seat.

Bag Policy

Large bags are not allowed in the venue. Smaller bags may be subject to inspection by event staff and security. Guests may refuse searches and event staff reserves the right to refuse entry.


Camera Policy

During most shows, small point-and-shoot cameras and cell-phone cameras are allowed. Professional cameras with lenses are not allowed in the venue unless an artist has approved. Security reserves the right to ask that cameras be left in owner vehicles. Audio or video recording is rarely allowed unless a program or event says otherwise.

Cancellation Policy

The Mercury Lounge keeps the show going despite exterior weather. In the case of a cancellation due to artist cancellation, the venue will make announcements as soon as possible. If your ticketed event is canceled, please call 212-260-4700. to ask about rescheduling or ticket refund procedures and policies.

Children Policy

Children are allowed during all-ages shows and events. When shows are age-restricted, event staff reserves the right to bar entry to younger children. To avoid frustration, please read event descriptions and programs to ensure a show is appropriate for your children. Any child at the venue must be accompanied by a qualified adult parent or guardian. If a child is disruptive during an event, they and their adult parent or guardian may be asked to leave. Children may never enter the venue during an 18+ or 21+ event.

All guests require a ticket regardless of age.

Clothing Policy

The Mercury Lounge only asks that guests dress for comfort.

Food Policy

Outside food and drink are not allowed in the venue.

Lost and Found Policy

Lost an item at an event? You can ask event staff for help with finding the lost and found service. You can also call 212-260-4700. after the performance. Please be prepared to leave your full name, contact information, and a detailed description of your lost item. The Mercury Lounge does not claim responsibility for your lost possessions.

Prohibited Items

The Mercury Lounge restricts certain items to keep guests and event staff safe. Please refer to the list below for details. All bags and guests are subject to visual inspections and any prohibited items may be disposed of or returned to guest vehicles.

  • Alcoholic or other Beverages unless purchased from the bar
  • Artificial Noise Makers 
  • Audio or Video Recording equipment 
  • Cameras (camera policies vary on an event by event basis) 
  • Bags (larger than 10”x 8”x 8”) 
  • Cans, Glass or Metal containers 
  • Fireworks or any Explosive 
  • Food and Beverage not purchased from the bar
  • Illegal Drugs 
  • Knives of any size 
  • Laser Pointers 
  • Masks 
  • Promotional items with commercial identification 
  • Tape Recorders 
  • Large golf or non-telescopic umbrellas 
  • Weapons of any description, including firearms
  • Signs, banners, flags or any other items that would either obstruct the view of a patron or serve as a dangerous projectile or security risk. 
  • Other items that in the judgment of The Mercury Lounge management pose a safety risk or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other patrons. 

Re-entry Policy

The Mercury Lounge has a strict no re-entry policy. All sales are considered final.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed at the venue. There is a smoking patio that can be used for smoking.
